Where an activity requires a manual flow meter reading the following EDGE data entry procedure should be followed:

1.Open Flow tab

2.Select the location representing the flow meter from the list in the location pane (bottom left)

3.Click on the Add icon on the lowest tool bar (fourth icon from the left)

4.You will be prompted to select a Task code.  Select the task that contains the activity requiring the meter to be read.  A new row will be added

5.Add the following information

a.Enter date and time of reading.  It is very important to get this at the exactly the same time as the reading is taken

b.Enter the reading from the meter display into the Meter Reading field.

c.Enter technician name from the drop down list

d.Enter the meter equipment code from the drop down list.  This almost always be the serial number of the meter if there is no other identification on the device

e.Enter any comments or observations that might be helpful to anyone using the meter reading in the Remark field.  Examples might include signs of malfunction, damage, chaffed cables or condensation inside the display window

6.No other columns displayed are required to be filled for this record

7.Click on the Save icon to save the record
